Arise Music Festival 2016 Video Recap

March 8, 2017 By Michael

~Arise Music Festival 2016 Video | Loveland, Colorado~

Now that 2017 is in full swing, we figured it was about time to release our video from Arise Music Festival 2016.  We are thrilled to have teamed up with our good friends at Dead Leaf Arts for this one.

This family-friendly festival has grown over the years and we are thankful to have been a part of it every step of the way.  Every year, the festival has grown in attendance and maturity.  It is hard to believe that this festival was born just a few years ago, and has already become one of Colorado’s most musically diverse festivals.  The venue is nestled in the valley on the beautiful Sunrise Ranch.   If you still have yet to attend this event, 2017 is your year to shine!

Arise Music Festival 2016 includes a dedicated yoga tent, several musical stages, aerial areas and resides in a little nook of the foothills which makes the whole event seem nice and cozy.  We were thrilled to see some young native Coloradan bands share the stage with some big names from around the world.  The team here at FreioMusic is extraordinarily grateful that we once again were able to contribute, in our small way, to capture this artistic event as it unfolded.

A huge shout out to all of the artists, friends, and family who made this event happen.  Without further ado here is our video featuring music by Ziggy Marley.

With a great bus system in place that offers round trip rides to and from Denver and Boulder to the festival, it is appropriate to mention the vender lineup.

This year, the Divide Music Festival is teaming up with three major Colorado craft breweries to offer a range of styles for tasting enjoyment. For the beer connoisseur, this year’s inaugural festival is showcasing the following flavors to make this event the ‘hoppiest’ music festival set in the Rocky Mountains:

• Great Divide Brewing Co: New Denver Pale Ale, Titan IPA, Hoss Oktoberfest Lager and Colette Farmhouse Ale

• Ska Brewing Company: Mexican Logger, Modus Mandarina IPA, Modus Operandi IPA, True Blonde Ale

• Odell Brewing Co.: 90 Shilling Ale, Drumroll Pale Ale, Loose Leaf Session and IPA

*Special brews will be showcased and served for VIP ticket holders.

Celebrating 25 Years of Great Music and Brews

October 7, 2015 By Michael

Coming this November! Silver Salmon India Pale Lager, a special limited-edition beer, will be packaged exclusively with the new Leftover Salmon album, 25.

For prices and availability, contact your local craft beverage purveyor or use Breckenridge Brewery’s Beer Locator. The album, 25, will feature twenty five previously unreleased live recordings, and will also be available on iTunes and all digital outlets beginning November 27th!

Silver Salmon IPL commemorates the twenty five year anniversaries of both Breckenridge Brewery and Leftover Salmon. This beer was developed collaboratively by the two groups as they discussed the perfect beer for listening to live music. “We thought an India Pale Lager would be a great style because it’s light and refreshing such that you can enjoy more than one, yet there’s plenty of complexity and flavor,” reports Todd Thibault, Culture Czar for Breckenridge Brewery. “It’s the perfect beer for hanging out at a show and celebrating life, music, and Colorado! There’s no fishy aftertaste, we promise!” Adds Greg Garrison, bass player for Leftover Salmon.

The paths of Leftover Salmon and Breckenridge Brewery came together in 2012 when they threw a street party in celebration of the band’s Aquatic Hitchhiker album launch. The first of their beer and music collaborations was in 2013. Leftover Salmon created four original songs that were pre-released exclusively through Breckenridge Brewery’s 12-pack Sampler Packs on Artist Series coasters. The relationship has prospered and the groups continue to collaborate on projects like Silver Salmon IPL.

Both Breckenridge Brewery and Leftover Salmon started out with humble beginnings in small Colorado mountain towns. As both have blossomed and earned national acclaim, each of these institutions have become masters of their own crafts.

Looking back over the past twenty five years of rootsy string-based music, the impact of Leftover Salmon is impossible to deny. Formed New Year’s Eve in 1989, the Colorado slamgrass pioneers took their form of aggressive bluegrass to rock and roll bars at a time when it wasn’t so common, which helped Salmon become a pillar of the jam band scene and unwitting architects of the jamgrass genre. High Country, Leftover Salmon’s most recent release, shows off the full palette of artistic diversity including lightning-powered pick n’ grin, to thoughtful blues balladry, and everything in between.

Breckenridge Brewery was founded in 1990 in Breckenridge, Colorado. In the past two decades Breckenridge Brewery has grown from a small 3,000-barrels-a-year brewpub to one of the most successful craft beer and restaurant companies in the nation. It now handcrafts more than 64,000 barrels of fresh beer annually and owns and operates five brewpubs and ale houses in the state of Colorado.

Between Breckenridge Brewery’s 64,000 barrels of handcrafted beer made fresh each year, to Leftover Salmon’s delicious music, whimsical cross genre creations, consistent touring schedule, and progressive mindset Silver Salmon IPL is sure to be a game changer, by two of the biggest game changers of their kind.

Sparky and the RandOm bAnD

September 2, 2011 By Michael Leave a Comment

Sparky certainly has a unique sound and style which deserves recognition.  Nothing like original arrhythmic sounds that …. question the mind. This 33 year old from Minnesota (1st artist from Minnesota featured on FreioMusic!!) teams up with his wife to create the videos below.

“The music is mostly live instruments modified with effects pedals recorded in live improvised sessions. It is inspired by free jazz and beat poetry but done electronically.
The videos are shot with a canon digital camera and then modified with Magix Movie edit pro 17. Some editing and modifying is done with Magix music maker pro 17 on some of the audio tracks. We have a blog describing the instruments and processes a little more
Enjoy the road trip and thanks for the interest.”  -Patrick “Sparky”
