The 12th Annual SONIC BLOOM Announces First Wave of Artists

SONIC BLOOM, the nation’s premier boutique electronic music festival returning to Hummingbird Ranch in Spanish Peaks Country, CO, announces the first wave of the 2017 lineup.

This year’s headliners include: Gigantic Cheese Biscuit, a unique lineup never before assembled featuring members of 3 pioneering live electronic bands coming together for a one-time very special set of music: Dominic Lalli, Jeremy Salken (Big Gigantic), Michael Kang, Michael Travis, Jason Hann (The String Cheese Incident / EOTO), Marc Brownstein, Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), along with The Polish Ambassador, The Floozies, Claude VonStroke, Ott, Haywyre, Minnesota, Random Rab,The Funk Hunters with Chali 2na and many more.

Melding the world’s most talented musicians, performers, visionaries and artists, SONIC BLOOM, is an inspiring showcase of the best of Colorado’s vibrant live and electronic music scene and is at the forefront of the transformative festival movement. SONIC BLOOM is known for booking and discovering fresh, progressive electronic acts with styles that span the musical spectrum; from the highly celebrated to the relatively unknown.

The music isn’t all there is to be excited about. SONIC BLOOM also engages with participants by offering world class artists and a full art gallery, active workshops, visual arts, learning experiences and yoga with much attention paid to the stunning environment that is created to indulge all the senses of the festival attendees. And with the addition of the SONIC BLOOM Academy last year, people now have the chance to enhance their educational experience leading into the 4-day festival with a 3-day deep dive into several intensive full-day workshops making for an incredible full-week experience.

Lightning in a Bottle – Bradley, CA – A week out from the West Coast’s premiere camping, arts, music and yoga festival, Lightning in a Bottle is thrilled to announce that tickets for the 11th annual gathering are officially SOLD OUT! Growing consciously since the festival’s first year in 2005, LIB is proud to have hit full capacity just ahead of its largest festival to date at 20,000 tickets sold.

While both the 2-Day and 4-Day festival passes are now sold out, several 4-Day passes can still be obtained with the purchase of a Boutique Camping package. Additionally, current pass holders can also upgrade to Boutique camping packages as well as purchase Lightning Bus tickets and/or an Early Arrival Pass, which will allow them to enter the festival a day early on Wednesday May 25.  

LIB production house Do LaB, and its vast array of magic-makers, would like to thank everyone for their amazing support for Lightning in a Bottle 2016!  Celebrating in the office, Jesse Shannon, aka Y2, Director of Marketing says, “This day is 11 years in the making. From 2005 when we first sold tickets to 2016, this is the first time Lightning in a Bottle has sold out before gates open. I’m so proud of the team and it’s a testament to all the hard work that everyone does to create such an incredible festival.” These sentiments are echoed in the laborious efforts put forth by Do LaB in the days leading up to the festival, with most of the team already on site creating, constructing and injecting love into every aspect of LIB.

Taking strides to ensure LIB 2016 is the biggest and best to date – Do LaB is pulling out all the stops curating a genre-bending, stellar lineup, cultivating wondrous immersive environments, and expanding into new adventures in Bradley, CA.

Hitting the three glorious main stages at LIB (The Lightning, The Thunder and The Woogie) are the most progressive up-and-coming artists alongside an acclaimed selection of powerhouse acts, forming the most dynamic lineup Do LaB has unveiled to date!  Headliners performing over this Memorial Day Weekend are Chet Faker, Grimes, Moderat, Big Gigantic, Cashmere Cat, The Polish Ambassador, and Four Tet. A cacao ceremony, Village Permaculture Action Day hosted by LIB 2016 artist Polish Ambassador and access to the newly-established High Grounds camp are among new initiatives in 2016. Go GREEN! In addition to the Action Day, Do LaB has several other leading initiatives in place to ensure the grounds stay beautiful for years to come! Recycling, compost and landfill receptacles will be found on the festival grounds, and as always, LIB 2016 will be a “pack-it-in, pack-it-out event,” meaning that Do LaB asks that all guests take everything they brought into the festival out with them after the festival ends — campground trash included. A friendly reminder that plastic water bottles are not sold at LIB, so don’t forget to bring your own reusable container!

Envision Festival-Costa Rica announces second installment of their lineup for their 5th annual festival from Feb 26 – March 1, 2015.  

Music & Arts festival Envision Festival-Costa Rica has announced the second phase of its lineup, completing the impressive and talented roster of musicians, artists, speakers, yoga instructors and beyond, set to perform in the scenic jungles of Uvita, Costa Rica from February 26- March 1, 2015.

Notable music additions include dub maestros an-ten-nae, Hedflux, and Stylust Beats, the electro-soul tunes of The Funk Hunters, underground house artists Mikey Lion, Porkchop and Tara Brooks from the Desert Hearts crew, exotic folk artists Lulacruza, Passiflora and Shimshai and the west coast bass sounds of AtyYa, Defunk, Lafa Taylor, Perkulator and Push/Pull.

Previously announced music headliners include the much loved Groundation, Phaeleh, The Polish Ambassador, Random Rab, Emancipator, Ott among many others that will be performing on one of four expertly crafted stages.

New artist additions will help cultivate what is considered one of the most unique and beautiful music festival environments on the planet including headlining visual artist Android Jones, painter Curiot, and glass artists Ubatuba and Snic Barnes. The 2014 Luna Stage architects, Hoodie and Tigre, return to further expand on their impressive creations from last year.

Megan Currie will add to the roster of an already impressive collection of yoga instructors,including world-renowned Rachel Brathen, Kishan Shah and Cristi Christensen. Additionally, African tribal dancer Amy Secada will be performing a new spellbinding routine.

And all of this is just the beginning. Experiences offered at Envision also include beaches and jungles for exploration, some of the best surf on the planet, the nearby bohemian beach town of Dominical, and an incredible lineup of workshops, speakers, permaculture education, art installations and so much more.

Envision 2015 Announces 1st Wave Artists

The International Envision Festival-Costa Rica announces first installment of their lineup for their 5th annual festival from Feb 26 – March 1, 2015.  

The first headliner announcement for the 5th annual Envision Festival-Costa Rica is here. This year’s lineup includes Groundation, Phaeleh, The Polish Ambassador, Wildlight, Emancipator, Ott, Bluetech, Random Rab, Govinda, Ill-Esha, Dimond-Saints, Stickybirds, AMB, Ayla Nereo, and saQi, with Costa Rican reggae headliner Un Rojo and Guatemala’s Los Miseria Cumbia Band. There are more acts listed below and many more to be announced!

Envision Festival-Costa Rica takes place in the enchanting jungle of Uvita, Costa Rica from February 26- March 1, 2015 and is a favorite destination for international travelers with dozens of international music and performance acts, yoga, workshops, waterfalls, surfing, jungle exploration and more.

An early peek at the yoga and workshop headliners include world-renowned yoga teachers such as Cristi Cristensen, Rachel Brathen, and Kishan Shah, art installations by Chris Dyer, Carey Thompson, and Mugwort Artemisia alongside Permaculture and Education workshops from legendary teachers such as Penny Livingston, Daniel Pinchbeck from Reality Sandwich, Charles Eisenstien, Sarah Wu, plus permaculturist and Envision co-founder, Stephen Brooks.

The Arise Festival in Loveland, Colorado resides on the beautiful 1,000 acre SunRise Ranch nestled in an open canyon. The 2nd Annual ARISE Music Festival will kick off this August 8-10 and will showcase a stellar lineup including Beats Antique, Galactic with special guests Chali2Na and Lyrics Born, Grateful Grass featuring Keller Williams, Billy Nershi (String Cheese Incident) and Reed Mathis, The Infamous Stringdusters, The Polish Ambassador, Groundation, Tribal Seeds, Nahko and Medicine for the People, The Everyone Orchestra featuring Steve Kimock and the return of Quixotic, among many other favorite performers.

The diverse musical lineup draws a diverse crowd and all are well catered to. This is an event for all ages. From the young to the old, Arise festival is for you. A truly spiritual and holy place for some, with yoga and workshops. For others the draw is the late night music that rages through the campground at night. The family camping, designed to enable sleep and a playful place for those little ones, is a plus for families. In fact, kids 12 and under get in free! For those of you familiar with festivals, the camping can make or break the festival experience. Luckily Arise is located in a mystical valley in lovely Loveland, Colorado. With spectacular performers such as Quixotic, the traditional artistic limits are broken. Influential and environmentally conscious musical acts help preserve the landscape and the pristine SunriseRanch for future generations. For those 21+ micro-breweries will be in attendance and will certainly refresh a parched palate.

Sonic Bloom Announces Mystery Headliner!

Shpongle (Simon Posford) joins the epic lineup for the Sonic Bloom 2014 festival! He will be playing alongside: Tipper, EOTO, Opiuo, The Polish Ambassador and so many more artists making this the most looked forward to festival of the summer!

In Colorado last weekend, Shpongle sold out the 9,450 capacity at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Then, following the concert was the after party at Cluster Studios, where: Plantrae, Snubluck, Digital Vagabond, Toy Box, Erothyme, Whitebear and Desert Dwellers tore it up until sunrise.

The previous weekend was two nights of ‘The Road to Sonic Bloom” tour at Cervantes, selling out the dual venue the first night. These shows featured: Opiuo, Random Rab, Whitebear, Defunk, Zoogma, Paul Basic, Ill-Esha, Janover & Resunator, Nominus, Young Blood Brass Band, Templo, Fillibusta, Yuyu, and Easy Company. It was nothing short of a good time.

So, if you didn’t already do it, you better grab that ticket to this years Sonic Bloom because it will be four days of unbelievable magic you won’t be able to find anywhere else!

Sixty five days and counting down to the best festival in Colorado this summer! The lineup is stacked and another headliner is yet to be announced! The venue is new this year, taking place at the spacious American Safari Ranch in South Park, CO. The early bloomer and tier one tickers have quickly sold out and tier two is now on sale for $195. Get ’em quick before these too sell out and the price rises yet again!
