Whitewater Ramble, a “Colorado-bred, High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass” band, threw down some foot stomping jams last night at the infamous Sam Bond’s Garage in Eugene, Oregon. The genre melding this band can do on stage is absolutely incredible. The Boulder Camera had this to say, “With a list of influences that reaches into every corner of contemporary music, from reggae to blues to country and beyond, WhiteWater Ramble pushes the boundaries of the form way past the edge. It ain’t your grandpappy’s jug-band music anymore, now it’s jam-grass.” The band began with their own tunes and followed with a 90 minute Grateful Dead cover set to kick off Further’s three day stopover in Eugene. And no better way to do so than at the rocking venue of Sam Bond’s. It took only a couple songs and a few mason jars full of local brews to get everyone up off their feet and shakin’ it to this rad band. The energy they all harnessed on stage made the music only that much better. Whitewater Ramble’s multifaceted style is too good to miss, ain’t nothin’ like Colorado grass.
